Block 41 Event Space

15,000sf building renovation to multi-use event space

 

While much of this project is about revealing the beauty of the existing structure, the centerpiece occurs at the circulation core. A new, ultra-thin grand stair hovers over the existing ramp (once used for horse-drawn wagons & ice delivery) while the steel elevator anchors the ensemble visually.  Adding to the splendor is the open, double-height space soaring past old-growth beams to an oculus skylight.

As an event space, the flexibility to use the two levels together or individually allows the venue to serve a multitude of activities and organizations.
